Our founding AND LEGACY
On August 1st, 2024, Tommy’s House was established. In accordance with the vision and legacy of Mr. Thomas Brezovacki, who held the belief that recovery is an individual journey, not solely determined by financial worth, the Baird Foundation was founded. We firmly believe in providing equal and fair opportunities for our residents to grow and thrive with individuals who genuinely care about them.
One of the primary challenges that Tommy and our founders identified was the absence of meaningful programming after halfway houses and rehabilitation facilities have concluded. To address this, we offer our residents the autonomy to intensify their recovery process, ensuring that they acquire practical skills and routines that can be seamlessly integrated into their daily lives, mitigating the challenges they face during the initial phase of recovery.
In essence, to continue Tommy’s mission, we are committed to reintroducing kind, loving, and sober individuals back into communities that once perceived them as beyond hope.
our Approach
Tommy’s House
At Tommy’s House, we firmly believe in fostering an environment that enables our residents to continue their recovery journey. In our inaugural year, with a 97% success rate we implemented a program specifically designed for individuals in the advanced stages of their recovery, providing them with a less restrictive setting surrounded by like-minded individuals. Our residents are required to attend a minimum of three AA/NA meetings of their choosing, while simultaneously learning to live a normal, functioning life that balances financial responsibilities, family obligations, and leisure time in a healthy and productive manner. This comprehensive approach equips our residents with the necessary tools and support to make informed decisions upon their successful completion of our program.
